As a Chief Financial Officer for over 10 years, though she loved accounting, but felt like something was missing while just helping investors and board of directors of large companies.
That’s when she realized she felt a certain thrill for helping entrepreneurs, especially women, who were breaking the rules of business in order to create something amazing – something the rest of the world didn’t expect them to do.
After co-founding Kickstart Accounting she saw that business owners need real financial analysis and education in order to get the confidence required to create the sustainable wealth they deserve. She created The Profit Planner to help business owner know how to analyze their business correctly, generate more profits easily, and gain greater confidence in their business.

Lindsay started her accounting career with positions ranging from public accounting to industry roles as a Staff Accountant and Plant Controller.
After over 10 years of following a traditional accounting career path, she was eager to use my knowledge and experience to help entrepreneurs make smart financial decisions.
When the opportunity to launch Kickstart Accounting, Inc., appeared she was excited to start helping small business owners improve their financial management and realize their potential.
Sara lives in Independence, Ohio with her husband, Shawn, and their five children. She has been in accounting for 15 years and enjoys helping her clients grow their businesses!

Sara loves working from home and says most would consider her a night owl as she is most productive in the evening! In her free time, she enjoys reading, working out, and spending quality time with her family.
The most bizarre thing she has ever eaten is Octopus and if she won the lottery she says she would buy a house on the beach in the Caribbean.
Kimmy spent eleven years with GE Lighting’s finance team, gaining experience in various capacities as a Finance Analyst and Accounts Payable Manager. In 2017 she joined the Kickstart Accounting Team and enjoys working to meet the individual needs of each client.
In her free time, Kimmy enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children, hitting the coasters at Cedar Point, and attending concerts. She also likes hanging out on the beach…Any day at the beach is a great day!
The most bizarre thing that she has ever eaten is sardines and she ended up liking them! If she won the lottery she would hire a chef. The last thing she Googled was sunset Time on Dec 13th, 2020, and 1099 best practices.
Jan has been in the accounting field for over 20 years working with a broad spectrum of industries such as medical, construction, financial, manufacturing, and service.
Prior to her accounting career, Jan was focused on home. After marriage, she hung on for 8 years of jumping from base to base while her husband was in the U.S. Marines. After managing her Marine and his Marine friends Jan decided she was ready to try her hand raising a family so that’s when Jason and Shaunna came along. Now they are both married with three kids each!
When she not working she can be found spending time with her grandkids, reading, various women’s groups, bicycling, and music which includes playing the piano.
On a fun note, if Jan was given the opportunity to have one magical power, she would choose to be able to fly like a bird.
Meridith McCarty serves as our Operations Director and is an outsourcing specialist and the owner of McCarty Virtual Services, a full-service virtual assistant agency.
She has been working 1:1 with business owners for the last two years on how to most efficiently outsource to a virtual assistant to maximize revenue and minimize time-consuming tasks.
Meridith is an enneagram 7 wing 8 and if she won the lottery she would do nothing but travel with her family!
